Hair or Makeup First on Your Wedding Day?

✨Hair or Makeup First on the Wedding Day?✨

Let’s Settle This….

Ok brides, do you do hair or makeup first on your wedding day?

Spoiler: there’s no one right answer, but here’s the tea so you can make the best call for your vibe.

Hair First, Makeup Second – Pros:

✨Stylists can pin your hair up & out of your face = perfect canvas for makeup.

✨If you’re going for curls or a glam up do, the setting time is chef’s kiss while makeup is happening.

✨Some say it’s nicer to have a fresher face of makeup a bit later in the morning.

✨Less risk of getting hair spray in your freshly beat face (yes, it happens).

Makeup First, Hair Second – Pros:

✨Makeup artists loooove a clean, product-free face—no hairspray and all hair fully tied up especially if you’re choosing a down style

✨Allow your makeup to settle first then go for touch ups once your hair is done.

✨Allow the preparation of creams and serums to settle on the face first so hairlines aren’t affected or can be cleaned before starting your hair.

So what’s the move?

Pro Tip: If you’re the bride, go somewhere in the middle of the schedule—this way, your look is fresh but not rushed. And get your MOHs/moms to go earlier as they love to check on guests arriving and checking things are all in place.

At the end of the day: trust your glam team, stay flexible, and don’t stress—it’s YOUR day, you’re gonna look incredible either way.
